Betty J. Mizikar, 96, of Mammoth, passed away December 30, 2025. She was born July 22, 1929, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Kovalcik. She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Mizikar.
Betty was a member of St. Florian Church, an associate member of the Altar Society, and a member of the First Ladies Catholic Slovak organization. She was known for her quick wit and humor, her love of shopping and finding a good bargain, her devotion to God and her family, and for making family holidays special with her delicious food.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her dear sister, Anna Loyacona.
She is survived by her sons, John Mizikar and Jeff (Beth) Mizikar; her grandchildren, Jessica (Anthony) DelSardo and Josh Mizikar; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 2, at HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Florian Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Florian Cemetery.
