Bruce D. Blystone

Bruce Donald Blystone, 76, of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2026, whom he loved with all his heart, surrounded by the love of his family.

Bruce was born January 3, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Gladys Blystone. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant, where he worshipped and served his Lord and church family.

Bruce shared 54 years of marriage with the love of his life, Maxine (Tinti) Blystone. Together, they built a life, raised a family, moved from Pennsylvania to Florida and back again, and made a lifetime of memories.

He is survived by his daughters, Mandy Blystone-Henderson (Alex) of Greensburg, PA; Amy Lynn Rea (Joe) of Vero Beach, FL; and Shawna Weaver (Brian) of Greensburg, PA.

Bruce was a proud Pappap to his grandchildren, Haylee (Christian) Williams of Irwin, PA; Kaulin Williams of Greensburg, PA; Clayton Weaver (Ruth); Cody Weaver; and Brianna Weaver. Whether by blood or by love, each held a special place in Bruce's heart, and they will forever carry the memories they made with their Pappap.

He is also survived by his sister, Linda Kunkle (Ray); his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Tinti; and his sister-in-law, Marsha Herndon (Danny), along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bruce worked for Pepsi in Kecksburg before moving with his family to Vero Beach, Florida, where he worked for Parker until his retirement.

Outside of work, Bruce was happiest doing the things he loved. He loved to hunt, loved being at the beach, and was a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also had a special love for cats and adored his four-legged family members, Thor, Pumpkin, Spooky, and Pepper.

Waiting for him on the other side was his best friend, Buddy, his beloved cat. His family finds comfort imagining Bruce walking through Heaven and Buddy being there to greet him, ready to be by his side once again.

Above all, Bruce loved his family and his Lord. His faith carried him throughout his life, and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and home with the Lord he loved so deeply.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Blystone Jr.; his father-in-law, Max V. Tinti; and his beloved cat and best friend, Buddy.

Bruce was cremated according to his wishes. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 am until the hour of service at 2 pm, with Pastor Angie Ciarimboli, on Friday at HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bruce's honor to Kitten Scoop, 323 Oakland Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-221-7530, an organization supporting cats in need.

Bruce leaves behind a family who will miss his presence, his stories, his stubbornness, his laughter, and all the little things that made him who he was.

And as he would always say, "Haylee, I know it's hard, but be nice like your Pap."

Rest easy, Daddy. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of us. Until we meet again.
