Dennis L. Hilty

Dennis L. Hilty, 82, of Norvelt, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at his home.

Born August 10, 1944, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late L.D. and Marie Hilty. Dennis retired from the Union Railroad. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Stanton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hilty.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 18 years, Susan; his children, Jeffrey Hilty and Sherrie Sawders and family; stepsons, Michael Teaters and Erik (Brittany) Teaters; and his step-grandchildren, the loves of his life, Aidan, Jaxson, and Braylee Teaters. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Bob) Tuttle, and family.

The family wishes to thank the nurses of WVU Hospice, especially Amanda, for their compassionate care.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation and no services.
