Lynn Pomarico

July 12, 1973 — January 15, 2026

Mount Pleasant Twp

Lynn Sue (Barnhart) Pomarico, age 52, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 15, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Carole (Wilson) Barnhart and Norma Barnhart.

Lynn's greatest adventure occurred when she met her husband, Jeff who survives her. They were together for over 30 years of ups and downs but always handling them together. Jeff truly was the definition of richer or poorer and through sickness and health and Lynn's life would have been boring and lonely without him. Lynn is also survived by her greatest accomplishments in life, her 2 children Alexander and Elizabeth. Nothing she has done topped raising them to be the talented and amazing adults that they are. Her biggest regret is that she will not experience the rest of their lives as they fulfill their dreams.

Lynn was a biology teacher for many years at Hempfield high school, where many students passed through her classroom. She always said that she would be happy if they left her classroom as good people who learned a little biology and had some fun.

Lynn never thought she would be blessed with so many extraordinary friends, from spectacular colleagues to friends made through kid's sports. If she was being honest, she never could figure out why they thought highly of her, but she was beyond grateful for each and every one of them.

Lynn is also survived by her mother in law Loretta and her father in law Victor (Gloria), her brother Scott and Carole and her sister Kelly, along with her in laws Marc and Vicky, Victor and Sheila, Kelly and Lora and Andrea and Bill. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a great niece and nephew. She will also be greatly missed by Teegan, her good girl.

Family and friends will be received from 4pm until the time of a service at 8pm on Sat., Jan., 17, 2026 at the HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME., 2245 Mount Pleasant Rd., Norvelt, PA 15674.
