Margaret Golkosky, 98 of United passed away Thursday May 11, 2017. Born August 2, 1918 daughter of the late John and Barbara Kvartko Mizikar, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Golkosky, daughter Barbara Brodak and son Joseph Golkosky. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and a member of St. Florian Church. Prior to her retirement, Margaret worked in the accounting department for West Penn Power. She was the last of surviving member of her family. Margaret is survived by a son Robert (Judy) Golkosky, son in law James “Whitey” Brodak and daughter in law Joan Golkosky. She is also survived by Family and Friends will be received Sunday 4-8pm in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt. The vigil service will begin 7:45pm in the funeral home. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am at St. Florian Church Monday with Reverend John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery Mount Pleasant Township. Transfer prayers will begin at 9:15am in the funeral home. The Alter Society will pray the rosary at 3:30pm Sunday.
