Michael George Kulha, age 82, of Hempfield, passed away on November 16, 2025. He was born September 27, 1943 in Latrobe, a son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Kulha.
Prior to retirement Michael worked as a machinist, contributing his skills to Tooling Specialist Inc and Avanti Engineering.
Michael's passion for life was reflected in his unwavering support for the Penn State Nittany Lions, a love that he shared with his family and friends. He enjoyed many spirited discussions and gatherings centered around his favorite team, creating lasting memories that his loved ones will cherish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Kulha, grandson Deven Kulha, and his brother John Kulha.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele Kulha; his son, Michael Kulha; and his cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, and Haley Kulha. Michael was also a loving brother to Joseph (Mary Helen), Leonard, William, and James (Christine) Kulha, and will be missed by his loving dog Chico, and he will be remembered for the profound impact he had on each of their lives.
Michael honorably served in the US Marine Corps and then the Navy, and was a member of the American Legion Post 982, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country and community. He was the former fire chief at Fort Allen and Calumet Fire Departments.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt.
