Mount Pleasant

Regina Joy Hamm Golkosky, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on November 8, 1943, in Acme, she was the daughter of the late Merwin and Ruth Hamm.

Regina was a graduate of Hurst High School and went on to work as a secretary for the former Homulka Chiropractic in Norvelt. Her life was marked by her commitment to family, community, and faith. A passionate participant in the Norvelt Volunteer Fire Department, she devoted much of her time to serving others. Regina was also a faithful member of St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish, where she found spiritual nourishment and fellowship.

She took great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as walking, sewing, cooking, and baking, embodying the true spirit of a homemaker. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Regina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Golkosky Sr.; her sisters, Bernice Miller, Joann Hamm, Patty Mull, and Betty Durstine; and her brothers, Thomas Eugene Hamm, Merwin Hamm Jr., Robert Hamm, and John "Jack" Hamm.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children Kathy (Douglas) Dively of Bumpass, VA, Richard (Jennifer) Golkosky Jr. of Nokesville, VA, and Michael (Johanna) Golkosky of Acme; her seven grandchildren, Brian (Abbey), Kristen, Kylie (Braden), Alyssa, Emmie, Cloey, and Lane; and three great-grandchildren, Miles, Margot, and Peyton. Regina is also survived by her siblings Shirley (Howard) Coffman of Irwin, and Richard "Dick" (Mary) Hamm of Butler, as well as her sister-in-law Sandy Hamm of Youngwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Villages at Harmon House (Amber House) for their compassionate care, and to the entire Norvelt Volunteer Fire Department family for their unwavering support.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mount Pleasant Rd, Norvelt, PA 15674. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 9 at St. Raymond of the Mountains Church. Burial to follow in Donegal Cemetery.
