Robert J Karinchak

Robert “Bob” J. Karinchak, 71 of Norvelt, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born December 6, 1944 in Norvelt, he was a son of Andrew and Julia Yanek Karinchak. Bob was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United, as well as a member of Norvelt Firemen’s where he held an office of Trustee and was a life member of Hecla Sportsmen’s Club. Prior to retirement, Bob was employed as a manager for Pepsi-Cola. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brothers Andrew and James and sister Virginia Detore. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy Bell Karinchak; son Robert and his wife Geri of Scottdale; grandchildren Jacob, Olivia, Maggie, and Katie Karinchak; and siblings Betty Delynko, Mariann King, Connie Peters, Edward (Linda) Karinchak, and Becky (Michael) Goodman. Family will have a private visitation, 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Norvelt. Norvelt Firemen will pay their respects 6 p.m. Friday. A private funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, Rev. John A. Sedlak officiate. Bob will be laid to rest privately Saturday with his family by his side.
