Robert D. Overly 91 of Hanover passed away February 2, 2018. Born in Carpentertown December 21, 1926 son of the late Ernest and Virginia Nitterright Overly. Prior to retirement he was a teacher for Hanover High School. Robert was a veteran of the Army Air Corp having served in WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Phyllis Overly. Robert is survived by sons Steven Overly and Michael Overly and grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Friday 3-7pm in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt. His funeral service will be Saturday at 11am in the funeral home with the Reverend Dr. Dale L. Porterfield officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview cemetery.
