Rosemary H. Kennedy

Rosemary Hartman (Buzz) Kennedy, 91, of Norvelt passed away Sunday October 18, 2026, at Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant, PA. Rosemary was born on July 1, 1935, to Paul R. and Elva (Fultz) Hartman. She was a life-long resident of Mount Pleasant Township, living the past 68 years in B-Section Norvelt. She was a 1953 graduate of Hurst High School and married John (Joe) Kennedy on October 14, 1955. Joe preceded her in death; his passing on July 11, 2023.

Rosemary was never happier than when hosting gatherings for family and friends. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren gave her so much joy and her deep faith gave her so much peace. She is survived by children: Robert (Jacki), Helen (John), and William (Stephanie), her grandchildren: Ryan (Lisa), Carolyn (Hayden), Zack (Natalie), Brent (Stephanie), Hannah (Cameron), and Eric (Samantha), her great grandchildren: Arlo, Annie, Grayson, Nolan, Grace, Winnie, and Ella, and nephews David and Scott Bair.

Rosemary's family would like to thank the staff of Westmoreland and Frick Hospitals, and the staff at the Harmon House Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers the family would suggest donations be made to United Church of Christ in Trauger, PA, where she and Joe had been members.

Family and friends will be received from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday October 22, 2026, at Hoffer Wilt Funeral Home, 2245 Mount Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674, where Rosemary's funeral service will be held at 10AM on Friday October 23, 2026, with the Reverend Frank Podolinski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Trauger. Expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at hofferwilt.com.
