Russell E. Brown, Jr., 75, of Acme, passed away at his home on April 30, 2025, with his loving wife Jean by his side. He was born November 28, 1949, a son of the late Mary Jane (Keister) and Russell E. Brown, Sr.
A 1967 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School, he went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy for six years. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in nature—whether hunting in the woods or casting a line by the water. In later years, he was most at ease at home, especially in the log house he built.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kristen D. Brown.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Jean A. (Petrosky) Brown; sister, Shirley L. (Ray) Hiehenke; brother, Randy L. (Vicki) Brown; brothers-in-law, Thomas E. and Edward M. (Lorraine) Petrosky; sisters-in-law, Rita J. Petrosky and Nancy J. Layton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
